The BISP Student Payment program is open to all eligible children of BISP active Kafalat beneficiaries who are enrolled in school or college. To be eligible, the child must be:
- Enrolled in a government or private school or college
- Between the ages of 4 and 22
- Unmarried
- Not employed
The amount of the BISP Student Payment varies depending on the age and grade level of the child. For example, children in primary school receive a monthly payment of Rs. 1,000, while children in college receive a monthly payment of Rs. 3,000.
The BISP Student Payment is distributed directly to the bank accounts of the eligible children. To receive the payment, the child must have a valid bank account. If the child does not have a bank account, they can open one for free at any bank that is partnered with BISP.
To apply for the BISP Student Payment, the child’s parent or guardian must visit their local BISP office. The parent or guardian will need to provide the child’s birth certificate, school enrollment certificate, and bank account information.
Once the application has been processed and approved, the child will start receiving the BISP Student Payment within a few months. The payment will continue to be distributed until the child graduates from school or college, or until they turn 22 years old.

BISP Payment Check:
There are two ways to check your BISP payment:
Online:
- Go to the BISP website: https://bisp.gov.pk/
- Click on “Beneficiary Services” in the top menu.
- Click on “Check Payment Status”.
- Enter your National Identity Card Number (NICN) and click on “Submit”.
- You will be able to see your payment status, including the amount of your payment and the date it was processed.
SMS:
- Send an SMS to 8171 with the following text:
CHCK CNIC_NUMBER
Replace CNIC_NUMBER with your own NICN. 2. You will receive an SMS reply with your payment status, including the amount of your payment and the date it was processed.
If you are unable to check your payment status using either of these methods, you can contact the BISP call center at 0800-26477.
Please note that BISP payments are typically processed on the 25th of each month. However, there may be delays due to unforeseen circumstances.
