Benazir Education Scholarship is a conditional cash transfer program for the education of children of BISP Active Sponsorship beneficiaries. Under this Programme, the beneficiaries are given cash prizes to get their children admitted to school or college and ensure transportation.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Benazir Education Scholarship, the beneficiaries must fulfill the following conditions:

To be eligible for BISP active sponsorship
The age of the child should be between 5 years to 21 years
Enrollment of the child in school or college
Child transport to be 90%
the amount

Under the Benazir Education Scholarship, the beneficiaries are given monthly cash prizes for their children’s education. The award amount depends on the child’s age and educational level.

For children aged 5 to 12 years: Rs.2000 per month
For children aged 13 to 18 years: Rs.3000 per month
For children aged 19 to 21 years: Rs.4000 per month

How to Apply

To apply for the Benazir Education Scholarship, the beneficiaries have to submit the application to their local BISP office. Application form can also be downloaded from BISP website.

Measurement

Benazir Education Scholarship performance is measured by children’s school attendance and results. If a child drops out of school or has less than 90% attendance, the family’s cash rewards are stopped.
