The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is a federal unconditional cash transfer poverty reduction program in Pakistan. Launched in July 2008, it was the largest single social safety net program in the country with nearly Rs. 90 billion ($900 million) distributed to 5.4 million beneficiaries in 2016. The program is named after Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
The BISP provides unconditional cash transfers to poor households in Pakistan. The amount of the transfer is Rs. 8,500 per quarter, or Rs. 2,833 per month, per household. This amount is intended to provide basic necessities such as food, shelter, and clothing.
The BISP has been credited with reducing poverty in Pakistan. A study by the World Bank found that the program lifted 1.8 million people out of poverty in 2013.
In addition to the unconditional cash transfers, the BISP also provides conditional cash transfers for education and health. The Benazir Taleemi Wazifa program provides cash incentives for children of BISP beneficiaries to attend school. The Benazir Sehat Card program provides health insurance to BISP beneficiaries.

BISP New Payment:
The BISP has not yet announced a new payment schedule for November 2023. However, based on previous years, it is likely that payments will be made on the 1st or 2nd of the month.
BISP beneficiaries can check their payment status online or by calling the BISP helpline. To check your payment status online, go to the BISP website and click on the “Payment Status” tab. To call the BISP helpline, dial 0800-26477.
Once you have checked your payment status and confirmed that you are due a payment, you can collect your payment from your designated bank or payment partner. You can also use the BISP mobile app to collect your payment.
